The 2024 SCEPUR Conference theme reflects the themes of AERA and NCME, our national counterparts, with a focus on the South Carolina context. We welcome proposals that address one or more of the varied issues that are important to education in South Carolina.
Examples of topics of interest to SCEPUR attendees include, but are not limited to: teacher education, retention, evaluation; professional development; assessment; curriculum standards; school administration; program evaluation; linking practice and research; early education; higher education; and K-12/University partnerships.
We encourage proposals related to this year’s
conference theme (which mirrors this year’s AERA and NCME conference themes): Using Research, Theory, and Practice to Reduce Inequities and Construct Educational Possibilities in South Carolina.
We seek participation from a wide range of
presenters, including K-12 practitioners and administrators, higher education faculty and students, and department of education staff.
The format of the conference will feature SCEPUR organized panels, paper sessions, participant submitted panels, and a Graduate Student Poster session. Participants from all levels of research are encouraged to submit proposals.
